Hon. Hyginus Agu Takes Commissioner For Culture And Tourism Around Tourist Sites In Udi As Gov. Peter Mbah Sets To Revitalize Tourism In Enugu State

In alliance with, and re-echoing  the Tomorrow is here mantra in Udi Local Government Area of Enugu State, the council chairman, Hon. Hyginus Agu took the commissioner for culture and tourism, Dame Barr. Ugochi Madueke around tourist sites in Udi Local Government council.

This is in line with Governor Peter Mbah’s vision of transforming Enugu State into a tourist and investment center. In a post made by the Mayor via his official social media handles, he commended the executive governor of Enugu State for approving some sites for immediate revitalization within Udi Local government council area.

“As part of Governor Peter Mbah’s vision to revitalize tourism in Enugu State, we visited the Okpatu Hills and Awhum Waterfall two days ago, and yesterday the 30th of January 2025, we inspected the Nsude Pyramids, and Ngwo Tourist Site in Udi”. The chairman wrote.

“The Honourable Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Dame Barr. Ugochi Madueke has been a key driver of this initiative”.

“The Nsude Pyramids, located in the Udi highlands, hold great cultural and historical value, reflecting the craftsmanship of Ndi Udi. By developing these sites, we aim to attract tourists, boost the local economy, and create jobs for Ndi Udi”.

“I assure the Honourable Commissioner that Udi is both safe and welcoming.
As Chairman of Udi Local Government area, I will fully support the success of this project and ensure it progresses smoothly”.

Engr. Agu who has spent over 100 days in office has received accolades from well wishers, appreciating his style of leadership and development, keying into the gigantic strides of Governor Peter Mbah’s disruptive innovative initiatives through road constructions, beautification of Udi Council secretariat, clearing of bushes to curb crime and social vices along roads in the area.
