Report Of The APC Eke Ward Stakeholders’ Progressive Meeting Held At Square One Bar Enugu
The All Progressives Congress (APC), Eke Ward, held a Progressive Stakeholders’ Meeting today, 16th October, 2025, convened by High Chief (Dr.) Emeka Udeh Jance (Ome Ogo n’Eke). The meeting marked a new dawn in the political history of Eke Ward, a gathering that emphasized unity, peace, and progress among members of our great party.
Eke Ward has long been recognized as one of the strongest political bases of APC in Enugu State, even during the period when the state was predominantly under the control of the PDP. Over the past twelve years, the political atmosphere in Eke has witnessed intense rivalry and division between the APC and PDP, but today’s meeting symbolized a renewed spirit of reconciliation and collective purpose.
The central agenda of the meeting focused on charting a new way forward for the ward’s political structure, especially following the mass defection of PDP members, including notable leaders, who joined the APC alongside His Excellency, Dr. Barr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, the Governor of Enugu State. His visionary leadership and transformational drive to make Enugu a model city in Nigeria and beyond have inspired hope and progress across the state.

In line with this new political direction, the stakeholders unanimously resolved to set up a Two-Man Caretaker Committee to oversee the affairs of APC Eke Ward pending directives from the State Caretaker Committee and His Excellency, the Governor. The appointed committee members are:
1. Chief (Dr.) Emeka Udeh
2. Hon. Mike Oguama
In his remarks, Chief (Dr.) Emeka Udeh announced that all previous ward executive structures stand dissolved. He further stated that the newly defected members from the PDP are now bona fide members of the APC, awaiting proper integration and portfolio assignments at the conclusion of the forthcoming APC Congress.
The stakeholders collectively reaffirmed their loyalty and unwavering support to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, pledging to work tirelessly for the success of the APC at all levels as the 2027 general elections approach.
The meeting ended in an atmosphere filled with joy, unity, and renewed commitment, signaling the rebirth of APC Eke Ward as a symbol of peace and strength in Enugu State politics.
