The Maurice Akueme Foundation Invests 6,000,000 On Health Insurance, MedicAid Scheme
The Maurice Akueme Foundation has again invested a whooping sum of at least 6,000,000 Naira on Health care insurance for Nigerians, catering for both chronic and acute diseases.
With this initiative, Chief Maurice Emeka Akueme JP has once again demonstrated his unwavering commitment to improving the lives of the less privileged.
Recall that in February, 2024, the Maurice Akueme Foundation announced the free medicaid scheme, sponsoring treatments, surgeries and routine medical check up, this is in addition to the MAF’s annual investments on health since 2016. As a follow up to the previous announcement, the Maurice Akueme Foundation announced it’s partnership with the “Pocket Doctor”, with the vision of creating a healthy and enabling environment for the people.
This partnership has served as a major step in advancing the foundation’s ongoing efforts to support and uplift vulnerable communities, ensuring that quality healthcare is accessible.

The MAF Medicaid Scheme is a healthcare insurance program provided through the Pocket Doctor Ltd. The program has enrolled over 200 people, offering them free consultations, telemedicine services, and access to free medication.
According to an invoice that is circulating in the public domain, The Maurice Akueme Foundation has invested approximately N6,000,000 (Six Million Naira Only) into this initiative and has urged all beneficiaries to continue to take full advantage of this opportunity.
The Chief Executive Officer of The Pocket Doctor Ltd, Dr Kingsley Uzuegbu, commended The Maurice Akueme Foundation’s President stating that they are very proud to be in partnership with him.
Followers of MAF has also hailed Chief Maurice Emeka Akueme, the president/founder for investing on people-friendly initiatives.
